Elizabeth K. - Cleveland Metroparks Youth Outdoor Specialist
I love getting kids into fishing and excited about the outdoors. Our event was a huge success and an amazing day! Thank you to Captain Art and everyone from Cast It Forward. You and your team made today so impactful for the youth we serve. Seeing the kids fishing around the pond and getting excited about their "Fishing Kits" was magical. Thank you for making it happen.
Bevan & Mandi S.
Mandi and I would like to thank your organization for such a great fishing trip. Your hospitality, genuine kindness and love for the sport of fishing truly shows. As a veteran it was more than a privilege to meet you and experience one of the finest fisheries in Ohio. Thank you and your team for everything! I hope to arrange another chance to come out again in the future!
Ellen M. & Family
My family had an absolute blast! Thank you so much Captain Art and Mr. Tom for showing us how to fish and for such a fun, amazing experience! It was a beautiful day on the lake and the kids keep asking when are we going fishing again! We can’t thank you enough for the new rod, tackle box, and fishing gear to continue to fish! What an amazing day spent with my family!

On May 27th, I went on a fishing excursion with two other veterans. Captain Art started by explaining the program and all the necessary information pertaining to our trip. The whole day was enjoyable and was filled with good memories. On a lighter note, I did catch the largest fish but those who went with me will only remember that I also caught the smallest!
Canaan S. - Age 10
I had an absolute blast! Thank you so much Captain Art and Mr. Thom, everyone was so nice! Thank you for teaching me how to cast better and for such a fun experience. It was a good day at the lake, and I even got to reel in a big fish all by myself. Thank you for the new rod, tackle box, and fishing gear so I can keep fishing! What an awesome day!
Ed C. - Veteran & First Responder
I had the opportunity to go walleye fishing with two other retired vets. We met our captain at the docks at 5:45am. Captain Art was amazing; he went over safety on the boat before departing the dock and once out on the lake we got setup and the fishing was on. While out there, the 3 of us had time to reflect, laugh a lot and tell some stories. What a great day. It was nice to just let everything go for the day and enjoy the moment with friends and our captain. Plus, we all got our limit of walleye!
Cast It Forward is a great organization. Thank you for what you do for Veterans and First Responders.

My kids and I came out fishing last month. We took advantage of this beautiful day and went fishing today with our new equipment. My daughter Maria caught this fish and the first thing she said was “I wish I could show Captain Art!” So…I had to share.
Thank you for inspiring my kids. We had such a fun day and we’re already planning next weekend's fishing trip.
Thanks for all you do!!

I was invited to join my grandfather & uncle onboard the Cast It Forward vessel on Friday, June 5, 2026. As a retired Navy guy, I couldn’t wait to be back on the water but was also a little hesitant due to a litany of physical ailment's both myself and grandfather have. However, Captain Art was absolutely accommodating & the vessel was exceptionally comfortable & spacious. Food, drinks, snacks, ice & cooler were all provided! It was a great time with great company. I would & will be recommending Cast It Forward to fellow Vets & First Responders. You can feel comfortable regardless of limitations or skill level. Thank you Cast It Forward and Captain Art.

Thank you for a wonderful day on Lake Erie walleye fishing. We had a great time fishing on your organization's beautiful boat with all the great fishing gear. Loved hearing about how your organization began. What a day to remember!

I had a great experience! Captain Art was friendly, courteous and an all-around good guy. He knew right where to go to catch walleye!
Dennis K. - U.S. Coast Guard Veteran
What a great time fishing today. Our group caught 24 fish and four were 27"+ long! Thanks, Captain Art, for a great time.

I just wanted to thank Cast It Forward and Captain Art for the wonderful fishing trip. It was probably the best walleye fishing experience I've ever had, and I know the two veterans that were with me really enjoyed it too! Everything was provided, the weather was perfect, and we had our limit by 10:00 AM! Again, thank you for what you do for veterans, and special needs kids. We definitely need more captains like you out there.
