On May 27th, I went on a fishing excursion with two other veterans. Captain Art started by explaining the program and all the necessary information pertaining to our trip. The whole day was enjoyable and was filled with good memories. On a lighter note, I did catch the largest fish but those who went with me will only remember that I also caught the smallest!

I had the opportunity to go walleye fishing with two other retired vets. We met our captain at the docks at 5:45am. Captain Art was amazing; he went over safety on the boat before departing the dock and once out on the lake we got setup and the fishing was on. While out there, the 3 of us had time to reflect, laugh a lot and tell some stories. What a great day. It was nice to just let everything go for the day and enjoy the moment with friends and our captain. Plus, we all got our limit of walleye!

I was invited to join my grandfather & uncle onboard the Cast It Forward vessel on Friday, June 5, 2026. As a retired Navy guy, I couldn’t wait to be back on the water but was also a little hesitant due to a litany of physical ailment's both myself and grandfather have. However, Captain Art was absolutely accommodating & the vessel was exceptionally comfortable & spacious. Food, drinks, snacks, ice & cooler were all provided! It was a great time with great company. I would & will be recommending Cast It Forward to fellow Vets & First Responders. You can feel comfortable regardless of limitations or skill level. Thank you Cast It Forward and Captain Art.

I just wanted to thank Cast It Forward and Captain Art for the wonderful fishing trip. It was probably the best walleye fishing experience I've ever had, and I know the two veterans that were with me really enjoyed it too! Everything was provided, the weather was perfect, and we had our limit by 10:00 AM! Again, thank you for what you do for veterans, and special needs kids. We definitely need more captains like you out there.
